As a result of its genuine Client-Server
architecture, BES is inherently internet-ready and can be used over modem lines
as slow as 28.8. TFI has developed entire projects on databases located across
the continent using internet connectivity, allowing us to field the entire installation
process without the expense of airline tickets, hotel costs, or even long-distance
phone calls.
RAS/WAN Connections
Since very little network traffic
is used between client and server in BES, inexpensive phone lines or leased
56k line are all that is necessary to connect remote client systems to a centralized
BES database.
