Architecture
The Web Server (ASP) manages security, provides the user interface, and passes
data requests to the SQL Server. The SQL Server reads data from source transaction
tables and collates the data in report worktables. It then transmits the filtered
and formatted data back to the Web Server. The Reporting Database stores the
worktables and pre-compiled T-SQL stored procedures. The worktables are purged
of information once the report is completed.
